Egg Donation

Egg donation is the process in which a woman provides her eggs to another woman and/or women to use for the IVF process. There are a number of instances when it becomes necessary for a woman to utilize an egg donor. Common reasons for a woman to consider egg donation is when she has failed multiple IVF cycles, her own eggs are of poor quality or has undergone premature menopause.

If a patient and/or couple is considering or seeking to use an egg donor, our clinic usually recommends using an egg donor agency. An agency is helpful in guiding our patients through this complicated process. This will ensure patients to receive the information and feedback that is necessary to guide them through the egg donation process. We strongly dissuade our patients from using the internet to locate an egg donor as for this type reproductive cycle is rather complicated both legally and medically. We at CACRM are active in assisting patients in screening egg donors and helping them to select their egg donor by evaluating several different donor profiles and giving our feedback as to who we think would be the most suitable egg donor for that particular patient.
